Delicious Pie shared with friends

A Thanksgiving story

I’ll never forget the first time I cooked a whole turkey.

Thanksgiving 2017. My family was away and I was staying in town because I had projects to do for school.

My roommate and I decided to cook a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at our apartment for some of our friends who weren’t celebrating with family.

She was in charge of potatoes and veggies, I was the turkey girl.

It was extraordinary! Not the turkey, the experience.

You see, I was so worried about burning the turkey, that I cooked it at a super low temperature. 🤦‍♀️ It took like 2 hours longer than it was supposed to! But for that same reason, we ended up having an extraordinary night!

We ate the store-bought pie and played games while we waited for the turkey.
It was awesome having some extra fun pre-dinner time.

Why am I telling you all this? Because the whole thing made me appreciate my friends a little more.

And it’s Thanksgiving! The perfect time to be thankful for what we have and say it out loud!

So here I go: I’m thankful for my friends, my family, having an awesome job (yay Scrubbi!), almost being done with school, Amazon Prime. 😉

And I’m thankful for you guys! Thank you for reading and supporting the blog.

Now, over to you. What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!
