Happy Friday!

So I’ve been thinking, food choices and its availability is now the greatest than what it has ever been before.

Wouldn’t you say?

Like, there are now vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free options almost everywhere, amongst others of course. Really, it’s almost like the struggle is now a matter of choosing what you actually want to eat, from the array of options so conveniently close to wherever you are.

I mean have any of you been to a fast food restaurant lately? Like Burger King, Tims, A&W, you name it, they all have this Burger of some variation called Beyond the Meat Burger. To me, I used to just take it as a fancy way of saying a vegan burger that tries to mimic the taste of chicken.

But hey, you guys, I just went to an A&W yesterday, between my morning and afternoon cleaning shifts, since I just couldn’t decide on what to eat.

I’m sure you know that feeling right? When you want to try something new but don’t know what to buy? 😉

Anyways, let me tell you, this burger was one of the best I have had in a while. It just seemed to have the flavour and the same texture as a comparable chicken burger, which I feel other alternative veggie burgers often lacked.

Dare I say I liked it better than my usual favourite, the Mozza Burger. Anyways I left the restaurant with a smile on my face and satisfied that I chose something healthier. I call that a win!

Now let’s address the ultimate question…… would I ever go back and buy it again? Like there are advantages such as no cholesterol or animal-derived saturated fat, and not to mention it is lower in saturated fat than burgers containing beef. But I wouldn’t give myself a title such as a newly converted vegan or anything. 😉

I mean to all those looking for food options in between cleaning appointments, I would say give it a shot and try it. I certainly would again. Oh and I am always looking for food recommendations, whenever I am looking for something on the go, such as when I am working a full day and too lazy to prep something the morning or the night before. Now, that struggle is real!

But what are some of your favourites? I would love to hear.

Hugs,
Tay
