The common sense of fashion

Hello All!

Are any of you out there a fashionista? I gotta admit, I love fashion!

Like spending hours pinning outfits for every occasion kinda fashion lover.

Like volunteering for the Vancouver Fashion Week kinda fashion geek.

Yeap, I’m reaching obsession level here. But there is something so appealing about a gold-rose top paired with the perfect ripped jeans, a duffel bag and gold rose jewelry. 👜 Fantastique!

Even when all I’m doing is running errands, going to school or cleaning around town, I’m totally paying attention to what I wear.

My look for going out is different from what I wear on the days I have jobs scheduled. For a night out, I’m looking for a cute outfit that has a bit of a wow factor. For work, I want something comfortable, versatile, but that looks professional.

When you are driving around, cleaning supplies in hand and ready to scrub your way out of life, choosing the right outfit can make all the difference.

Here are my top 3 tips for choosing the right outfit for your Scrubbi days 😉

Choose Wisely
Choose something comfortable, but that doesn’t look like you’re coming out of District 12.
Comfy clothes don’t have to look dirty and old. My go-to outfit is:

  • Solid-coloured t-shirt
  • Leggings or joggers
  • Sweatshirt or hoody
  • Runners
  • Indoor shoes (that I bring with me to wear inside my client’s house)

Pretty simple and comfortable!

Make it double (or triple)
I have three outfits that I use to go to all my Scrubbi appointments. They look pretty much the same. Colours might be different, but the style is always the same. I called them “my uniform” and I rotate them, so while one is in the laundry, I have two to choose from. I’ve found the perfect combination, so I don’t experiment much. Less stress and time picking what to wear. Of course, my shirt matches the pattern on my joggers, hello! But they are the same joggers I wear week in and week out.

Hair up
This tip has nothing to do with your outfit, but rather with working comfortably (and looking good.) I always have my hair up in a bun, so I don’t have to worry about getting it off my face or leaving hair behind. Lol Plus, hair buns are in, and they’ll add to your casual-cool look.

Have a fashionable week!
